We’ve been around in Wooden Boat Surveying, since 1984 when Kathleen J. Kilbey first accidentally “bumped into” George Reohorn “wooden boat surveyor extraordinaire” at Swansea Marina, whilst Kathleen’s Buchanan 38 “Sinbad of Abersoch” was undergoing a Lloyds 100A1 special survey. George then became the practice-mentor, in company with Alan H.Buchanan, during the early years of the Classic Boat Surveys practice and continued in that role until his untimely departure from this planet in November 2018. George’s advice and his very Welsh humour are still sadly-missed….
